PRO-MOSS® TBK

PRO-MOSS® TBK is produced from select long-fibered blond Sphagnum peat moss, offering excellent water retention and air porosity. Consistent in texture and performance, it serves as an ideal base for mushroom casing. Its uniform quality ensures predictable results and supports crop development across diverse production systems.

PRO-MOSS® BBK

Specifically developed in collaboration with commercial growers for mushroom cultivation, this all-natural, fibrous peat blend offers a dense structure that enhances the profile, stability, and water-holding capacity of casing layers. Its formulation supports precise moisture control, reduces contamination risk, and has been shown to improve the size, quality, quantity, and cleanliness of mushroom crops.

"Peat moss remains the primary component for casing layers in the cultivation of mushrooms. Peat moss is combined with limestone and other materials to induce mushroom pinning and development. Fibrous peat works well to hold large amounts of water. In the last several years, we have seen the introduction of humus-type peats, which are used alone or blended with fibrous peats to produce a slower, more erratic pinning of mushrooms. Some growers prefer this casing blend, since mushrooms can be picked over several days instead of large flushes all at once."
