Advice from our specialist
PRO-MIX® HPCC MYCORRHIZAE™ is a blend of peat moss, chunk coir and perlite designed for hanging baskets, long-term planters and containerized perennials. This growing medium has a high water holding capacity, and care should be taken not to overwater early in the crop cycle. The chunk coir retains water like peat-based growing media; however, it does not require a wetting agent or compact like peat moss.
PRO-MIX® HPCC MYCORRHIZAE™ requires less frequent waterings than other growing media and provides long-term "ease of rewetting" to benefit growers and end users.
PRO-MIX® CC40 MYCORRHIZAE™ is designed to be an outdoor growing medium for larger containers, perennials and nursery stock. It contains no perlite, giving the product a more natural, earthy look.
Premier Tech Horticulture offers several package sizes and formats to accommodate professional grower’s needs.
In the United States, when you think of places that experience drought conditions, often California and Texas come to mind. However, in the last 8 months many central and western states have experienced abnormally dry seasons causing drought conditions.
SPHAGNUM PEAT MOSS (65-75%)
Canadian Sphagnum peat moss is a natural, organic matter that comes from a peat bog. This primary resource is carefully harvested by vacuum harvesters. Peat moss comes in various fibrosity and levels of decomposition. Once carefully graded, peat moss assures that qualities of each grade are optimized for based on grower and uses for a final product reaching high quality requirements.
Coir is a natural product which comes from the exterior envelop of an aged coco fruit. We have carefully selected a material providing the 3 important following qualities for a high-quality professional growing medium:
- Physical (particles type and size)
- Chemical (washed material with a very low salinity level)
- Microbiological (exempt from any pathogens)
Perlite is an alumino-silicate ore of volcanic origin. The raw ore is crushed, graded and screened in various particle sizes. Perlite has a high total-porosity and improves drainage and air porosity.
Used to adjust pH to optimum range. Also a source of Calcium and Magnesium.
A wetting agent is a substance that reduces the surface tension of water, allowing water to penetrate and uniformly wet growing media.
MYCORRHIZAE™ PREMIER TECH
MYCORRHIZAE™ PREMIER TECH (Glomus intraradices) is a Biological Growth Enhancer that increases the yield of flower, fruit and vegetable plants by extending the root system to acquire the most of available nutrients in the soil. Mycorrhizae also improve resistance to root diseases and stresses.
